It is important to understand the cause of a chargeback.
Generally, this is due to one of the following 3 reasons:
- Credit card fraud. A card has been cloned and used to make purchases on your website.
- The reference on your customer’s bank statement does not match your website. By default, the name of the operation on your customer’s bank statement will be lemonway.com/ec. This could therefore be due to your customer not making the connection between the purchase and the transaction as it appears on their statement.
- You have charged a customer without their permission or without having clearly defined the amount or date of the debit.
